Slot Allocation

Slot allocation refers to how airlines are given certain access times and dates for take-off and landing at airports or other aerodrome facilities.

When operating in Malaysia, all aircraft are required to abide by their allocated time slots when operating their services and avoid using their slots in unintended ways which disrupt airport or air traffic operations.

MAVCOM is responsible for monitoring and providing oversight in the management of the slots allocation process. The process of slot allocation itself which was previously handled by the Malaysian Airline System Berhad is currently being managed by the National Slots Coordination Malaysia.
